3 Quick Easy Ways to Generate New Leads Online for Free in Less Than 5 Minutes

Below you will find 3 simple sources you can use to generate leads for FREE! It will only take you 5 minutes to have your phone ringing, your email singing and your news feed buzzing :).

1. CRAIGSLIST

People forget about this free website!

Post your ad on Craigslist simply by creating an account and click “post to classifieds” to get started. The system walks you through the rest!

  • Timing is Key

We have noticed that the time you post is important. For weekdays, try posting in the morning around 8:30 am to 9:30 am, when people are looking for homes to rent or buy, or simply searching for ways to pass the time before they get their day started. Reposting the same ad in the early evening around 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm works great as well. While dinner is cooking, most people are on their desktops checking email, social media and if they are in search for a home, this is a great time for them to be on craigslist searching.

  • Have a Catchy Subject Line

Because you can post multiple times, try different subject lines to see what works the best.

Stuck on a title, google what you want to sell, and see what others have used as attention grabbing titles.

For selling homes for rent, for example, we have used the street address of the property. The street name lure leads in, and after seeing the gorgeous photos of the property, the instantly want to get access to more information of that particular property – it works like a charm!

  • High Resolution Photos

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE have good photos uploaded on ALL your ads, let alone craigslist. Many people are visual, give them what they want, and you will gain them as a lead – a win-win situation!

  • Follow-Up is Fortune

Be on your phone, ready to answer any questions. Surprisingly enough, we were able to get as many as 30 leads from our homes for a rent campaign on Craigslist. Be ready to answer questions, show the home and show great customer service – this could be your next home buyer, their aunt, uncle and daughter may be looking to move as well – great customer service will allow you to a generation of leads to come!

2. FACEBOOK & LINKEDIN GROUPS

Join as many private and public groups on Facebook and LinkedIn as you possibly can! Definitely make sure they are aligned with what you do, and what you love to do in your spare time, though. In those groups, be engaged, comment every so often, like and love posts at least 3 times a week.

As soon as you have an Open House or a New Release in your store, post and let people in the group know, invite them to come, and invite them to ask you any questions they have as you are a subject matter expert in your field.

  • Timing is Key

You don’t have to be in those groups forever to have the confidence to post, however timing is key. We suggest, 1 week or so after joining and connecting with people in the group, you should be good to go!

  • Posting Time

Posting times will be the same times as noted above.

  • High Resolution Photos

3. FACEBOOK STATUS, INSTAGRAM POSTS, FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM LIVE, LINKEDIN, SNAPCHAT, TWITTER, PERSONAL TEXT MESSAGING

That’s right, the last one is utilizing all your social media platforms.

For example – If you are a Realtor and you have an Open House scheduled or maybe you have a new store opening? Send out personal invitations via your social media platforms and send personal text messages to your family and friends. Ask your family and friends to come. But if they can’t make it, ask them to forward, retweet, and share your message. If you are just starting your business, or just listed a property or just sold a property, find your biggest cheerleaders and have them pub for you!
